Why are components from a silicone mould coated to colour as standard?

When casting Polyurethane under vacuum, occasional tiny air bubbles or flow lines cannot be prevented from occurring on the visible side of the surface of the product. Standard finish is accordingly a final coat of colour so that a product can attain a superior final finish to the exact RAL colour.
